Our Mission
Dog Days of Downtown Silver Spring is a yearly festival hosted by Living Ruff and Downtown Silver Spring dedicated to encouraging pet adoptions and advancing public understanding of general animal health and welfare.
This event is designed to be an informative experience that promotes public awareness, education and information focused on responsible pet ownership.
Dog Days spotlights local shelters, regional rescue groups, service animals and animal advocacy organizations providing them with a platform free of charge to distribute literature, advocate, educate and encourage pet adoptions.
It is our hope that every dog can find a forever home.
